About the AccessiLoons

Welcome to the AccessiLoons, the first and only supporter group for Minnesota United FC focused solely on accessibility and inclusion! Founded in 2021 by three dedicated MNUFC fans with varied disabilities, we were inspired to create a space where every supporter—regardless of their ability—can experience the joy of soccer without barriers.
Our mission is to raise awareness about accessibility and inclusion, not just in the stands but also in supporter group (SG) culture, club operations, and the broader soccer community. We believe that soccer is for everyone, and we’re committed to helping SGs, clubs, and venues create spaces where every fan can feel welcome, supported, and heard.
What We Do
• Advocate for Inclusion: We work with other SGs, stadium staff, and MNUFC leadership to highlight the needs of disabled fans and champion changes that make stadiums and soccer experiences more accessible.
• Share Best Practices: Through workshops, online resources, and conversations, we help SGs and clubs implement practical solutions that promote inclusion, from accessible seating arrangements to sensory-friendly events.
• Build a Community: We provide a welcoming space for disabled fans, allies, and supporters to connect, share experiences, and celebrate the love of the game. Together, we amplify our voices to drive meaningful change.
• Educate & Encourage: By sharing stories of successful advocacy efforts and resources for creating inclusive spaces, we encourage others to take action in their own SGs and communities.
Why It Matters
For too long, the needs of disabled fans have been overlooked in sports culture. From inaccessible stadiums to a lack of awareness about sensory and mobility needs, many barriers still exist. The AccessiLoons aim to break these barriers down and show that inclusion doesn’t just benefit disabled fans—it creates a stronger, more united supporter community for everyone.
